Inspired Pet Services was founded by Curt & Debbie Walker
Our inspiration to start this business came from our dog Spanky (top left), who passed in January 2009 at 14 years of age. He was a rescue dog and "supposedly" housebroken. We were both working 9-10 hour days, and after 3 weeks of him having accidents all over our condo, we decided to try a pet sitter for mid day walks.
After our initial consultation, the recommendation was to come over 2 times a day. This would help Spanky adjust to our home and understand that going "potty" outside was the proper thing to do. To our surprise and relief, Spanky stopped having accidents in the condo. We continued to have him walked 3 times a week for his entire life.
He was also very routine oriented and did not adapt well to doggy day care or boarding. We were going to postpone taking a vacation because we did not want to leave Spanky at a boarding facility. Our pet sitter convinced us to go on our cruise and let her pet sit for the week. She sent us daily e-mails telling us how he was doing; and this helped us relax and enjoy the cruise. When we returned home we were greeted by a calm and happy dog.
From our personal experience we realize there are a lot of "Spanky's" out there. We are here to provide professional and personal care for pets in their own homes, where they feel loved, safe and secure.
